Wrestling Academy
Welcome to the West-Texas Wrestling Academy. Here, we will help you on the road to becoming a professional wrestler. We offer classes that will teach you the in's and out's of professional wrestling. Classes run Monday through Friday from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm with additional classes at your requests. We will go over subjects such as bumping, back stage etiquette, and the maneuvers themselves, etc. We also have trained personal trainers on staff that will help you sculpt your body. Cost for training is $ 1,000, $ 400 down, and $ 100 on the 15th of every month until the total amount is paid off. Academy students have worked with many stars in the wrestling industry, including TNA's Samoa Joe, ECW Original “Super Nova” Mike “Simon Dean” Bucci, former WCW, ECW and WWE Superstar Jerry Lynn, former XPW and WSX wrestler Joey “Kaos” Munoz, independent standouts 'Lightning' Mike Quackenbush and Tony Kozina, PCW’s Colossus the Gladiator and ring veterans Dusty Wolfe and Terry Daniels.
About the trainers:
Head Trainer, Tony Morales has been wrestling since 2002. He trained at the Altitude Pro Wrestling Academy in Denver, Colorado, under Jeff McAllister and Billy V. McAllister trained under legendary trainer Les Thatcher. Morales has also taken part in seminars with wrestlers ranging from 8-time world champion Harley Race and Les Thatcher to AJ Styles, from Christopher Daniels to Al Snow. He even competed in the illustrious Cauliflower Alley Club show in 2006. He has competed in 14 states for more than 2-dozen promotions across the U.S. Morales has made it his mission to allow his students to work with as many different people as they can, to find as many different ways to do things as they can. He is very active in setting up seminars, and bringing in talent that will advance the education of the roster. When Morales is not available, his staff including many of the WWA Standouts will be available to work with students to ensure they receive a broad-based training. Students are also given the opportunity to work on microphone skills and perfect the art of characterization and charisma.
